Prokupac is an old domestic variety known by several names. The grape cluster is medium to large in size and its color is dark ruby red. It has the aromas of cherry, blackberry, currant and forest fruits. This is a fruity, well-rounded and harmonic wine with medium finish. It is recommended with all red meats, grilled meat, game meat and particularly with dishes of Serbian cuisine that are served in ethnic restaurants. It also goes well with river- and sea fish, walnut cookies and fruit- and chocolate desserts. It should be served at temperatures between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius.
