Shiraz is a very old variety originating from a 5000-year-old Persian town of Shiraz. It was domesticated in France, in the Rhone River valley. The color of this wine is dark purple and its aroma is recognized by traces of black pepper, mulberries, black currant, forest fruits and laurel. It has a soft and harmonic taste with fine fruit acids and medium finish. This elegant wine goes well with medium-textured dishes of international cuisine, the best choices being roast turkey, goose and duck, grilled meat and vegetables, dishes with cooked meat and game meat. It is best served at temperatures between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius.
